1) Basic information about the handling of personal data
You can visit our website without disclosing any personal details. Each time you access our website, usage data is transmitted by your Internet browser and stored in server log files. This information includes the date and time of your visit, the name of the page(s) you access, data transfer volumes and the requesting provider. This information cannot be associated with a specific person and it is used exclusively to ensure the smooth running of our website and to improve our offer.
Personal data is collected if you choose to share this with us in order to carry out a contract or to open a customer account. The information that is collected can be seen in the respective forms. It is possible to delete your customer account at any time by sending a message using the contact details outlined below. We store and use the information you provide in order to process a contract. Once the contract has been completed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked under observance of statutory tax and commercial retention periods and deleted after this time unless you have given your explicit consent that your information may be used in other ways or we reserve the right to use this data in other ways, an explanation of which is offered below.
When you contact us (for example by completing the contact form or sending an email), personal information is collected. In the case of contact forms, the data that is collected can be seen on the form. This information is stored and used only for the purposes of answering your enquiry or contacting you, and managing the associated technical administration. Your data will be deleted once your enquiry has been resolved if that is your preference and deleting this information does not contradict any statutory retention requirements.
Furthermore, personal information is collected if you subscribe to our email newsletter. We use this data for our own advertising purposes in the form of our email newsletter on the condition that you have given your express consent.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the appropriate link or by sending us a message. Once you have unsubscribed, your email address will be deleted immediately from our newsletter distribution list.
For our own advertising purposes, we reserve the right to store your personal details in summarised lists and to use these to send out interesting offers and information about our products by post. These details include your first and last name, your postal address and – if you provided us with this additional information during a contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth, profession, industry or business name. You may object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message using the contact details outlined below.
4) Your rights and how to contact us
You have the right to obtain free information about your stored personal data and, if appropriate, the right to correct, block or delete this information. If you have any questions concerning the collection, processing or use of your personal data, please do not hesitate to contact us. The same applies if you would like information; you wish to block, delete or correct your personal information; or if you would like to withdraw any consent previously given. You can find our contact address under ‘Legal information’.
